GOODY-GOOD, adj.comb. = Eng. goody-goody, weakly or sentimentally pious (Ags.19 1954).Sc. 1851 Carlyle Life J. Sterling ii. v.:
We found the piece monotonous . . . dallying on the borders of the infantile and "goody-good."
Rnf. 1873 D. Gilmour Pen' Folk 52:
