†GUNSIR, n. Also gunsar, gonsir. A lout, "a big, stupid, uncomely person" (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 71, -ar); usu. applied to a male (E.D.D.).Abd. 1900 E.D.D.:
"Ye stupid gonsir, that's nae a hard sum, an' ye canna wirk it. Ye're a muckle gunsir; ye cud hae mended it ohn broken 't."
