I. adj. Somewhat gluttonous (Upp. Lnk. 1825 Jam., gutterel).

II. n. A young fat pig (Gall. 1824 MacTaggart Gallov. Encycl. 249, guttrel).

[Deriv. of Gut, n.1, 1., the belly, through gutter, to eat greedily (found in Dev. and Som. dial.), + suff. -el, in adj. = having a tendency to, in n. used with dim. force.]
