HADABAND, n. Also hadi-band, haada-, had(d)a-baand. The cross-beam under the thwart of a boat which fastens the ribs securely (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl., 1914 Angus Gl., Sh. 1956).Sh. 1899 J. Spence Folk-Lore 250:
