HIDDIEKIDDIE, n. Wit, sense, mental stability. Also used in pl. = wits.Abd.7 1925:
“He was frichtent near oot o's hiddiekiddie” they say, when they refer to his wits or his senses.Abd.4 1928:
Yer belly gyangs atween ye an' yer hiddie kiddies. (Said to children complaining of hunger. The belly before the head.).Abd. 1932 R. L. Cassie Scots Sangs 23:
