HOOKERS, n.pl. Also hukers (Jak.). The haunches, bended knees (Sh. 1825 Jam., 1866 Edm. Gl.; Cai.4 c.1920). Phr. to sit on one's hookers, to squat on one's haunches or with one's legs under one (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928); Ork. 1929 Marw.; I.Sc., Cai. 1957). Cf.
