HUGGERMAGRILLIAN, n. [′hʌgərmə′grɪljən] A term of contempt for a rough, unkempt, slovenly woman. Cf. Hugger-ma-gundie, n. Per. 1909 Scotsman 9 (10 May):
I here give some words in common use in the part of Central Perthshire, where I was bought up, between seventy and eighty years ago, ... Huggermagrillian — A coarse, unkempt, tattered female.
