IMET, adj. Also erron. ilmet; imsket, emsket (Jak.). Of a nondescript colour, applied to anything badly washed or dyed (Sh. 1914 Angus Gl., Sh. 1958); also esp. applied to cattle with hide of a dark or dirty tinge (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928)). [′ɪm(sk)ət]Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928):
Yellowish-grey; reddish-grey, or grey with a reddish-brown tinge; also bluish; bluish-grey; a imet colour; a imet coo.
