INIQUITY, n. Sc. Law: want of equity (Sc. 1798 Monthly Mag. (Sept.) 175), used with reference to any action or pronouncement of a judge which is contrary to law.Sc. 1769 Erskine Principles i. ii. § 20:
A judge is said to commit iniquity, when he delays justice, or pronounces sentence, in the exercise of his jurisdiction, contrary to law.
