INRINGIN, vbl.n. The ringing of church bells to summon worshippers to a service. Cf. to ring in s.v. Ring.Ags. 1873 T. Watson Poems 256:
We might as weel hae been lyin' in the steeple o' the Parish Kirk at the inringin' on the Sabbath-day.
