JOCTIBEET, n. Also jeckedybeet and abbrev. form jocktie. The wheatear, Saxicola oenanthe (Cai. 1887 Harvie-Brown & Buckley Fauna Cai. 104, jeckedybeet, 1902 E.D.D., jocktie, joctibeet, Cai. 1959). Also applied to the whinchat, Pratincola rubetra (Cai. 1902 E.D.D.), and to the stonechat, Pratincola rubicola (Ib.).
