KADEL, n., v. Also kaddel (Angus). [′kɑd(ə)l]
I. n. A sheep-mark, consisting of a coloured thread through the ear or a string round the neck (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), 1914 Angus Gl., Sh. 1959).
II. v. To put such a mark on a sheep (Ib.).
