‡KATIE-HUNKERS, adv. Also katy-, kittie-. In a squatting position, esp. used to express a way of sliding on ice whilst sitting on the hams (Lth. 1825 Jam.). Also used as a n. (s.Sc. 1911 Dmf. & Gall. N. & Q. 222, kitty-).
