KRUS, n. Also croos. [krus]
1. A small, cup-shaped, earthenware jug or bowl (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), 1914 Angus Gl., Sh. 1960).
2. A kind of pie filled with fish-livers, made of dough in the shape of a krus, and baked on the hearth (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl., 1914 Angus Gl., Sh. 1960). Comb. tattie-krus, a large potato scooped out, filled with fish-liver and meal, seasoned, and baked on the hearth, the cut-off top of the potato acting as a lid (Sh. 1960).
