KUTI, n. An abbr. form of cutty-knife s.v. Cutty, adj.Rxb. 1927 Trans. Hawick Arch. Soc. 68:
We were generally “hard up” for knives. Very often the request would be heard: “Man, Jock, len'z ir kuti.” A kuti was any little old knife or blade.
