LABEL, n. Sc. usage: a piece of writing, used with somewhat contemptuous force, a rigmarole.Ags. 1824 Literary Olio (3 April) 106:
“Idle gommeril,” she would say, “he might have threshed a firlot o' bear i' the time that he was scrapin' that lang label o' stark mad havers.”
