LOISIN, vbl.n. A mistake for loifin, from arch. loif, to praise. See Lofe.Sc.(E) 1871 P. H. Waddell Psalms xliii. 4:
Syne wi' the harp, O God my God, I sall lilt till yersel wi, loisin.

[The mistake seems to have a risen from Jam. s.v. lois.]
