LORIE, int. Also larie (Jam.), lorrie. Deformations of Lord!, used exclamatorily (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 108; Sc. 1887 Jam.; Cai. 1902 E.D.D.; I., n.Sc. 1961). Also in forms lorie me (Sc. 1887 Jam.; Abd. 1961), lorie be here. Appar. also as an adj. lorrie, = blessed, blooming, used expletively.Kcb. 1828 W. McDowall Poems 22:
