NIZZER, v. Also nisser. To contract, to become withered or stunted in growth (Cld. 1880 Jam.). Ppl.adj. niz(z)art, -ert, nissart, stunted, withered, dried up, contracted (Ib.). Also in the form nizzertit, id. (Lnk. 1880 Jam.).Lth. 1861–3 Trans. Highl. Soc. 266:
We have also noticed in many places, where the general appearance of the blossom was “nizart”, a black speck in the neck of the bud.
