ODDSMAN, n. An arbiter, umpire, a thirdsman.Sc. 1708 Atholl MSS. (6 Jan.):
George Viscount of Duplin oddsman chosen by both Parties in case of Discrepance.
Sc. 1758 Burgh Rec. Gsw. (1911) 529:
An oddsman or oversman to be mutually chosen by the partys.
