OK-NAME, n. Also ock-. A nickname (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1928), Sh. 1964). Cf. eik-name s.v. Eik, n.2, 9. (3).Sh. 1898 Shetland News (5 Feb.):
This was the origin of the “Ock-name” of tarry wumple, which clave unto the Moad family ever after.
Sh. 1951 New Shetlander No. 29. 8:
