I. adj. Strange, odd, mysterious, peculiar, comical (Sh. a.1838 Jam. MSS. XII. 161, 1914 Angus Gl.). Also adv., in a strange, eerie manner.Sh. 1952 J. Hunter Taen wi da Trow 5:
