ONSLAUCHT, n. Sc. form of Eng. onslaught (Rxb. 1825 Jam.). This word became obs. in Eng. in the 18th c., but was reintroduced by Scott. [′onslǫxt]Sc. 1828 Scott F. M. Perth vii.:
