OUTWINTER, v. To keep cattle out of doors throughout the winter. Gen.Sc.

Hence outwinterer, a cattle animal kept outside all winter. Cf. Winterer.Sc. 1772 A. Hunter Georgical Essays (1803) IV. 351:
Out-winterers, as they are called, or cattle kept out all winter.
