PALSIFY, v. To afflict with palsy, paralyse: also fig. Hence n. palsification, paralysing action. Very rare in Eng.Sc. 1851 G. Outram Lyrics (1874) 31:
She's palsified—an' shakes her head Sae fast about, ye scarce can see't.
Sc. 1866 R. Chambers Essays (Ser. 1) 138:
Unable, through the very palsification of despair, to do so much as call the attention of the women-folk.
Sc. 1882 J. Walker Jaunt to Auld Reekie 296:
She [Popery]'ll palsify Industry's arms.
