PLUCK, n.3 The pogge or armed bull-head, Agonus cataphractus.Sc. 1810 P. Neill Fishes 9:
Pluck. Small and ugly, supposed by the fishers to be poisonous. Often taken in oyster-dredges, and herring-nets, but is detested by the fishermen.
