POGO, n. A child's plaything “made by tying together centrally the quill ends of a number of feathers and letting the tips radiate out in all directions so that it always rested on feather-tips however it was laid down. On a breezy day this would go careering before the wind at a great pace and provided infinite amusement” (Ork. 1929 Marw., Ork. 1966). [′po:go]
