POUKY, adj. Given by Watson W.-B. as “mean, stingy”as if from Pouk, v.1, 2. (1) or (2) but the form is phs. rather a misprint for pauky. Pawkie, 1.Rxb. 1824 Trans. Hawick Arch. Soc. (1922) 36:
