¶PURLUSION, n., v. An unpleasant, loathsome thing, “whatever is noxious or disgusting” (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 135), a horrid mess. Also used as v., to make unpleasant or noxious, to render dirty or disgusting (Ib.).
