‡RAMBUST, adj. Also rambusk. Robust, vigorous (Slk. 1825 Jam.; ‡Rxb. 1923 Watson W.-B.; Slk. 1967). Hence derivs. rambusteous (Bnff.), rambaskious, rambaskish, uncouth, unpolished, rough and boisterous in manner (Rxb. 1825 Jam., Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 139).
