I. n. A rough, uncouth creature; a hoydenish girl; a person, gen. a woman, of rough or ungainly appearance (Bnff. 1866 Gregor D. Bnff. 141; Bnff., Abd. 1930).Abd. 1921 T.S.D.C.:
