REGULATION, n. Sc. usages:
1. Sc. Law: in comb. Regulation roll, a roll of the Court of Session containing a list of jury cases or where no appearance has been made for the defender (Sc. 1838 W. Bell Dict. Law Scot. 841). Now obs.Sc. 1825 Act 6 Geo. IV. c. 120 § 29:
All the Actions above enumerated, originating in the Court of Session, shall be first enrolled in . . . the Regulation Roll.
2. Regularity, orderliness.Sc. 1805 Scots Mag. (Sept.) 667:
Falkirk came off no better; “just a lang town, no regulation”.
