RELIE-O, int. A street call used by vendors of boiled potatoes.Per. 1836 G. Penny Traditions 93:
Whilst a part of them were busied in selling their wares, others were engaged in the purchase of provisions and other necessaries; some of them were traversing the wards, bawling out "relie o," which signified boiled potatoes.

[Prob. a corruption of ready-o, i.e. cooked, ready to eat.]
