To reside, to have one's usual abode. Only in ppl.adj., vbl.n. residenting, residing, dwelling.Ayr. 1703 Ayr Presb. Reg. MS. (3 Dec.):
The Minister and residenting heretors and Session.
Rnf. 1709 R. Wodrow Corresp. (1843) I. 16:
To set up a set of non-residenting heritors in opposition to the eldership.
Ayr. 1823 Galt Gathering of West (1939) 51:
