REVOYLT, adj. Also rovolt, rovilt, ruvilt (Jak.). In very high spirits, wild, boisterous, frisky (Sh. 1866 Edm. Gl.); agitated, anxious, bewildered (Sh. 1908 Jak. (1908)). [rə′vɔilt]

[Form and meamng are both uncertain and point to an early corruption of some word not identifiable. Jak. makes various tentative suggestions s.v. rovilt. Some meanings suggest connection with Norw., Dan. rådvill, perplexed, at a loss, and the influence of raivelt (see Raivel, v., 5.).]
