SKERPO, n. An altered form of Skertar, esp. the short leaves at the base of the stalks of Badderlock, Alaria esculenta (Ork. 1929 Marw.). Adj. skerpowy, pertaining to or resembling these (Ib., skerpowy tangles). [′skɛrpɔ]
