I. n. An unexpected start or shying by an animal.Ork. 1929 Marw.:
Afore I kent, the horse had teen a skyuik across the road.

II. v. To start, to shy unexpectedly, of an animal (Ork. 1922 J. Firth Reminisc. 154).
