SKIBBET, n.2 A pouch, pocket, small rack, or similar projecting container hung on a wall as a receptacle for odds and ends, specif. the pocket which used to be attached to old-fashioned calendars in which letters, accounts, etc., might be temporarily kept (Abd. 1959). [′skɪbət]
