SKIRPIN, n. "The gore, or strip of thin cloth in the hinder part of breeches" (Ayr. 1825 Jam.).

["Said to be more properly kirpin" (Jam.) and thus to be associated with Curpin. But the genuineness of the word is somewhat suspect.]
