SKRAAL, n. A crowd, a large quantity or number of persons, fish, potatoes, etc. (Ork. 1929 Marw.; I.Sc. 1970). Derivs. skrallyo, skrullyie, id. (Ib.). [skrɑ:l, ′skrʌlji]

[Norw. dial. skroll, skrylle, a heap, mass. The phonology is however somewhat irreg. and suggests confusion with Norw. dial. skral, noise, hubbub.]
