SMIRD, n. [smɪrd]
1. A smut, smudge, a spot of dirt, rain, etc. (Sh., Bnff., Abd. 1970).Abd. 1915 H. Beaton Benachie 98:
Nae a smird will touch her.Abd.1 1929:
Ye're a' richt and ticht, nae a smird on yer rigoot.
2. A sharp rap or tap on the knuckles, etc., with the finger-tips or a strap (Sc. 1911 S.D.D.).
