CADDY, n. A kind of quilt or coverlet of a bed made of woollen or flax fluff.Gall. 1714 Session Bk. Penninghame (1933) I. 339:
William Dyre acknowledged the foresaid woman haveing stripit to the pettycoat came under the caddy and lay so in bed with him till the morning, but denyed uncleanness.
