¶CAMAYE, n. Misreading for Carriage, n.Gall. 1882 Book of Galloway 1745 42:
"Camayes use and wont," as the work of the bondage days were [sic] called, which consisted of cutting corn, casting peats, felling timber, etc., led to dreadful oppressions.
