DANDIE-CLAW, n.comb. See quot. Also in form dandie-hurl (Slk. 1965).Fif. 1957:
“I'll sune gie that the dandie-claw” means “I'll soon polish that off”. Said e.g. of very good food, or of a job which one intends to do in the quickest and sketchiest way.
