TROUAN, n. ? Phs. a miswriting for troan, troune (see Tron, n.). Hence trouan broad, one of the boards or platforms of a public weighing-machine.Gsw. 1739 Burgh Rec. Gsw. (1911) 2:
Wright work and timber for the wheels of the machine . . . trouan broads, a door to a wall.
