SEGTON. Also Saigtown (Ayr. 1795 Stat. Acc.1 XI. 143), Segdoune. An old name for Kilwinning in Ayrshire (Ayr. 1900 W. L. Kerr Kilwinning 4), surviving only in the title of an annual “queen” of the town, the Segdoune Queen (Ayr. 1951 Stat. Acc.3 308). [′sɛgdʌn]
