Derivs. Traquairia, (1) a fossil protozoon (1872 Carruthers in Quart. Jnl. Micros. Soc. XII. 397); (2) a fossil fish of the Upper Carboniferous era in Europe (1889 A. Fritsch Fauna Gaskohle in Böhmen III. 50), now called Traquairichthys (1933 Whitley Copeia 146); Traquairaspis, a fossil fish (1932 J. Kjaer in Skrift. Svalbard Ishavet LII. 26).
