TWEEDIA. Bot. A genus of the Asclepiad family or milkweeds, found in Argentina (1839 W. J. Hooker in Bot. Mag. LXV. 3630), also called Oxypetalum.

[Called after James Tweedie (1775–1862), from Scotland, plant-collector in S. America.]
