OSCAR SLATER, adv. [Rhyming slang for 'later'; Oscar Slater was wrongly convicted of murder in Glasgow in 1909.] Later. Also in reduced form Oscar.Gsw. 1985 Michael Munro The Patter 81:
Oscar Slater Later, as in 'See you Oscar Slater.' The man in question was involved in a famous Glasgow murder case.
