LADY FAIR. A fair held on or near Lady Day (Annunciation Day, 25 March, or Assumption Day, 15 August): 1. In March at Innerpeffray in Perthshire (Per. 1836 J. Shearer Antiq. Strathearn (1881) 82). See Stat. Acc.2 X. 525; 2. In August at Urr in Kirkcudbrightshire (Kcb. 1788 Dmf. Weekly Jnl. (5 Aug.)). [On one or other of the festivals of Our Lady.]
